Abstract The study investigated the effectiveness of GeoGebra software on performance and attitude in Mathematics among senior secondary school students in municipal zonal education area of Kano State, Nigeria. Four items were stated as objectives, research questions and 4 null hypotheses guided the study. A systematic random sampling was used in selecting 160 students from a population of 3012 SS2 students. The experimental group was taught using the GeoGebra software while the control group was taught using the traditional method of teaching. The instruments used were a researcher made Mathematics performance test containing 30 items and a GeoGebra attitude questionnaire containing 10 items. The results of the study revealed that the students taught with GeoGebra software performed better than the students taught with the traditional method of teaching. Similarly, cumulative average of the responses obtained from the attitude questionnaire at the end of the treatment indicated that there was a significant positive change in attitude of the students within the experimental group. Based on the findings, it was recommended that Mathematics teachers should be encouraged to adopt suitable teaching method that involves the use of technology in classrooms. The results were analyzed using t-test for all the hypotheses at a level of significance P?0.05. For the analyses of data, the SPSS13.0 statistical package for social sciences was utilized. Keywords: GeoGebra Software, Mathematics Performance, Attitude.
