The target population for this study was all the 42,433 senior secondary three (SS 3) students in the 224 secondary schools in the seven Education Zones in Niger State. Also all the 382 mathematics teachers who taught the SS 3 students when they were in senior secondary school two (SS 2) before they wrote their mock examination were included. Three instruments were used for the study which includes: Mathematics Teacher Qualification Check (MTQC), Students? Interest in Mathematics Questionnaire (SIMQ) and the Proforma for Students? Mock Result. Cronbach Alpha (?) was used to calculate the reliability index SIMQ and was found to be 0.79. Data collected were analyzed using mean, percentage and Chi-Square. The result revealed that students? interest and performance in Mathematics were influenced by Mathematics teachers? educational qualification. Based on the result it was recommended among others that Mathematics teacher should be encouraged to further their studies. Keywords: Mathematics Teachers, Educational Qualification, Students?
