EFFECTS OF CHEMICAL REACTION AND THERMAL RADIATION ON HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER OF MHD FLOW IN THE PRESENCE OF THERMAL DIFFUSION AND HEAT SOURCE

ABSTRACT This study investigated the effect of chemical reaction and thermal radiation on heat and mass transfer of MHD flow in the presence of heat source and themal diffusion. The governing equations were formulated base on already existing model and transform to dimensionless equations using suitable variables. Laplace transform was applied to obtain solution analytically. With the help of graphs, the various important parameters entering into the problem on velocity, temperature and concentration within the boundary layer are discussed. Also the effects of the pertinent parameters on the rate of heat and mass transfer, in terms of Nusselt and Sherwood numbers are discussed with the aid of tables generated. The results shows that the observed parameters have significance influence on the flow, heat and mass transfer.
