ABSTRACT In this work, a stage was added to the Four Stage Fourth Order Runge-Kutta Method and computations were made to get the coefficients. However, the Five Stage Fifth Order Runge-Kutta Method was arrived at. The Stability Region of the method was shown graphically. Due to the vital role played by the method in the field of computation and engineering, some initial value problems were solved using the new scheme. The application of the method clearly showed that the results are much closer to the exact solutions than Four Stage Fourth Order Runge Kutta Method.
