Abstract In this paper, we proposed hybrid Falkner-type method for solution of second order initial value problems. Orthogonal polynomial with respect to w(x)= over [-1, 1] with Power series formed the basis function. The proposed method is convergent with good region of absolute stability. The method demonstrate its effectiveness as observed from the numerical results presented tabularly. Keywords: Falkner-type method, block methods, convergent.
