Abstract In this paper, we use the notion of S-metric, S:X^3?[0,?) where X is a nonempty set as a generalized metric in 3-tuples to prove some fixed point theorems for ?-? -contractive type mappings in a complete S-metric space. Our result generalize and extend some existing results in the setting of S-metric space. Keywords ? fixed point, S-metric space, ?-? -contractive mapping.
