Abstract This paper considers an Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model with a generalised exponential increasing demand and where shortages are not allowed. The holding cost is a linear function of time and deterioration is assumed to be a constant. Application of the model is illustrated with the help of a numerical example. Sensitivity analysis is carried out on the optimal solution with respect to the parameters of the system to see the effect of various parameter changes.
